Research into the new project is unearthing a trove of fascinating treasures - VP day celebrations, history around Glenelg in the 1940s, war rationing and fashion, and so on. A few challenges have arisen. I can't physically locate where the Argosy Club or Palais actually was at Seaclliff; only that it was there. A chapter I'm working on now involves Minda Home - Mum worked night shift there for three months - so I will have to arrange a visit.

Research has taken most of the past two weeks of time, but we're over the 30,000 word mark and three drafted chapters down. I've also decide to use a quote for each chapter from a movie of the same year that is relevant to events in the story.

Totally loving this project so far.:)
